Remote Senior Fullstack Software Engineer [Rol temporal]

Description:

• Kueski is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby and React for a temporary role.
• The mission of Kueski is to improve the financial lives of people in Mexico, being a leading platform in buy now, pay later (BNPL) and online consumer credit in Latin America.
• The ideal candidate will be passionate about mentoring and supporting other software engineers and comfortable collaborating with different teams to achieve team goals.
• Responsibilities include designing and building high-quality systems, collaborating with other teams to ensure solutions align with the technical vision, and supporting the team in achieving development goals.
• Engineers are expected to understand the business to evaluate trade-offs and make informed decisions, as well as identify areas for improvement in deliverables and processes.
• The role involves early project analysis, helping the team estimate projects of medium to high complexity, and translating business requirements into technical requirements.

Requirements:

• Professional experience with Ruby and React is required.
• Strong experience in backend and frontend development with a solid understanding of programming fundamentals is necessary.
• Candidates must have experience and understanding of software design patterns and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one database engine and integrating, designing, and building APIs is required.
• Candidates should have experience deploying and maintaining software products in production and familiarity with at least one architectural pattern (e.g., MVC).
• Experience delivering solutions that require multiple iterations and considering non-functional requirements from the design phase is essential.
• Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly, both technical and non-technical, are necessary.
• Candidates must be able to navigate uncertainty, structure ideas, and transform requirements into functional software in production.
• Experience in leading medium to complex projects involving multiple technologies and resolving problems is required.
• Solid experience in Software Engineering and knowledge of a good Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is necessary.
• Understanding the importance of different types of testing in the SDLC is required.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English, both oral and written, is required.
