Description:

  • Join Contentful as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (f/m/d) with the Taxonomies and Search team.
  • Focus on enhancing and maintaining the platform's core content capabilities, including taxonomies, ontologies, tags, and search.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build best-in-class platform insights for customers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Consider components and systems while ensuring a holistic user experience.
  • Quickly fix bugs and solve problems to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize analytics to inform product decisions and improve features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
  • Work closely with the data department to surface useful information to customers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in a product development environment.
  • Proven experience in building APIs and services that efficiently handle large volumes of traffic.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with an interest in clean code practices and familiarity with enterprise architectural design patterns.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Natural problem-solver who brings forward ideas leading to practical solutions and product growth.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Circle CI) and maintaining automated tests with tools like Jest or Mocha.
  • Proactive approach with a high sense of ownership.
  • Great communication skills in English, especially when explaining complex technical concepts.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and lower-level languages such as Rust or Go are a plus.
