Description:

  • PeopleFun is an award-winning creator of mobile games, part of AppLovin, with a focus on collaboration, creativity, and fun.
  • The company is seeking a Senior 2D Game Artist to support the development of their newest IP, Wordscapes Solitaire.
  • This role requires a strong UI background, involving the creation of iconography, graphic design, and illustrations to enhance the game experience.
  • Responsibilities include producing and refining UI/UX, illustrations, marketing materials, and other visual assets.
  • The artist will collaborate closely with the Art Director and designers to ensure UI adheres to design principles and enhances player understanding.
  • The role involves creating assets, scenes, and prefabs in Unity, translating abstract ideas into clear designs, and contributing ideas for new themes and events.
  • The artist will ensure consistent style and quality of features, coordinate with cross-functional teams for asset integration, and manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in 2D art creation for feature game development, with a successful track record in mobile games.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in art fundamentals, particularly in effective UI and design for clarity and usability, is required.
  • Experience across all production stages, from concept development to final implementation, is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and familiarity with modern design tools like Figma and other standard UI layout tools is essential.
  • A general understanding of usability design principles, UX wireframes, and user flows tailored to a casual gaming audience is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and openness to feedback are important.
  • Familiarity with working inside Unity, including setting up scenes and implementing UI and prefabs, is needed.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines in a close-knit game development environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to maintain visual consistency are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, are necessary.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

  • The expected base pay range for this position is $90,000–$130,000, based on market location and individual qualifications.
  • Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and other incentives.
