They are seeking a Senior Game Designer to join their Design team, which operates in a remote-first model but also has offices in Los Angeles and Seattle.
The role requires a strong technical skillset in text-based scripting and a deep understanding of multiplayer gameplay design.
The Senior Game Designer will focus on content design, ideating, designing, and building novel gameplay mechanics for a new competitive multiplayer game.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing player-facing gameplay features, working in UE5, owning features through all development phases, driving testing and iteration, and participating in playtests.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Game Designer, Gameplay Scripter, or in a similar role in Game Development.
A minimum of 2 shipped titles in a similar role is required.
Excellent design sensibilities and collaboration skills with Engineers, Designers, and Artists are essential.
Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, C#, Java, or any C-based scripting language is necessary.
Candidates should have experience prototyping, building, and owning gameplay features from concept to release.
Proven ability to be self-directed, effective, and productive in unclear situations is required.
Ability to drive playtesting, collect and process feedback, and iterate on designs until quality is met is essential.
