Description:
As a Senior Game Designer at The Multiplayer Group (MPG), you will help develop and deliver high-quality gameplay features for AAA projects.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay features with a focus on the 3Cs, ensuring they lead to satisfying gameplay outcomes.
Your role includes taking ownership of player character core mechanics, controls, and character camera, aligning development with the vision set by the Lead Designer.
You will create game systems that meet client needs regarding the targeted player experience.
You will receive, solve, and digest high-level feedback into actionable work for the team.
Collaborating with production and the team, you will ensure your work meets release-quality standards.
You will standardize, document, and communicate your vision to the game team.
Your designs will reflect a deep understanding of target players and their skillsets, addressing and overcoming obstacles.
You will design systems that enable players to plan and execute varied strategies.
You will create a control scheme that is comfortable and easily mastered, applying ergonomic principles.
You will define the information needed by players to make interesting choices in the game, interface, or menus.
You will assist in testing new features and tools for the design team, providing feedback for improvements.
Requirements:
You must have a wealth of knowledge of contemporary games and design solutions to enhance your designs and share insights with your team.
Extensive experience in the games industry is required, including work on at least one AAA title for console and/or PC.
You should be highly proficient in 3Cs game and system design.
Experience in prototyping gameplay mechanics using Unreal Engine Blueprints is necessary.
A passion for creating fun, compelling, and addictive user experiences is essential.
Good project management and time management skills are required, with a proven ability to prioritize, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive outlook.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are necessary.
You must be able to understand and communicate in technical language.
Experience in utilizing JIRA for task management is required.
You should have experience writing and explaining high-quality and thorough design documentation.
A proven ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines is essential.
