Remote Senior Game Producer

Description:

• Magic Media is seeking a skilled and seasoned Senior Game Producer to oversee project completion, ensuring it meets designated timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• The role involves leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team.
• The Senior Producer will oversee the timelines of various departments within the gaming team to ensure milestones are set, thoroughly planned, and achieved as anticipated.
• The position requires overseeing the project’s budget by determining resource needs and expectations, monitoring actual expenditure versus planned spending, and revising forecasts.
• The Senior Producer must guarantee adherence to the project's scope and detect and resolve discrepancies among schedule, budget, and design objectives.
• Communication of project progress to the company management team and the client is essential.
• The role includes ensuring each team member follows a tracked schedule and feels a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability for the quality and punctuality of their work.
• Promoting effective communication, nurturing positive work relationships, and encouraging teamwork is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience working in a production role where they have managed cross-functional teams in the creation and delivery of projects.
• Expertise in common production methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and software (Jira, Shotgun, Excel, Project, Confluence, or equivalents) is required.
• Excellent knowledge and solid experience of using Jira in everyday work is essential.
• A deep understanding of game development, software development processes, and project management practices is necessary.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, both personally and at the team level, are required.
• The candidate should be a self-starter who approaches challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution.
• Active listening skills and the ability to make decisions based on data are important.
• A proactive outward attitude, consistently professional, respectful, and approachable, is expected.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience running multiple projects simultaneously, regardless of size, is preferred.
• A BA degree or equivalent in management/organization is desired.
• Experience in shipping AA and/or AAA titles from start to finish is a plus.
• Experience working in the service providing industry is also advantageous.
