Description:

  • Oddball is seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to contribute to a pivotal Federal program that positively impacts millions of Americans' daily lives.
  • The role involves working closely with other engineers to develop and scale a major application.
  • Daily responsibilities include writing code, developing tests, and debugging.
  • As a senior engineer, you will provide input on high-level architecture decisions and communicate these decisions to the development team.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building products used by customers or clients.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience writing services in Golang is required.
  • Experience with AWS services, particularly Parameter Store, is a plus.
  • The ability to write clear and understandable code for other engineers is essential.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with non-developers in various formats, including conference calls, blog posts, and support emails.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure while providing first-level support for a critical, high-traffic application is necessary.
  • Applicants must be US Citizens and able to work domestically.
  • Candidates must be able to attain low-level security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
