Description:

Monte Carlo is seeking a Senior Growth Engineer to enhance the usage of its cloud application for Data Observability.
The role involves end-to-end development, including full production implementation, monitoring, tracking outcomes of experiments, and post-release operations.
Responsibilities include building production-grade backend services and APIs, formulating usability requirements and designs, and owning major projects from inception to deployment.
The engineer will architect flexible solutions and scale them as the company grows, test and operate code in production, and measure its impact on customers.
The position requires navigating ambiguity while solving problems and pursuing solutions to challenges.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade backend code, performing code reviews, and working on cloud, data, and web applications.
Strong Python skills or mastery of similar backend technologies in a large, complex codebase are required.
Experience in testing work with automation and following customer usage of features is essential.
Candidates should have experience tech-leading critical projects or initiatives within their team and organization.
Familiarity with growth engineering, data-driven applications, serverless applications (especially with AWS and Lambda), and the needs of data engineers and analytics teams is preferred.
A passion for observability, software APMs, debugging tools, and uptime metrics is desired.
Experience with billing and payments in business applications is a plus.
Candidates must be able to collaborate in a remote-first environment and prioritize based on user feedback and product vision.

The position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and equity package, with a salary range of $180,000 - $230,000/year for US-based employees.
Various factors, including professional background and experience, will be considered when determining compensation.
