The Senior Healthcare Data Scientist will drive the understanding of doctor performance and build algorithms that power Garner’s rankings and recommendations.
This role reports to the Vice President of Data Science Research.
Responsibilities include building data-driven algorithms for care navigation, doctor ranking, and healthcare-related financial products by applying medical and healthcare economics understanding.
The candidate will develop a deep understanding of medical and healthcare economics through data analysis and qualitative research.
The role also involves contributing to the assessment of doctors and changing behavior to achieve higher quality and lower cost healthcare.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of professional experience in healthcare and/or data science fields.
Formal training in both data science and a branch of healthcare such as applied medicine, biostatistics, health informatics, health economics, or health insurance is required.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is necessary.
The candidate must have a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment is preferred.
A desire to be part of the mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system is essential.

The target salary range for this position is $150,000 - $195,000, with individual compensation depending on qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
