Description:
Pomelo Care is seeking a Senior IAM Security Engineer to join their growing information security team.
The role involves designing, implementing, and scaling IAM solutions for internal workforce, members, partners, and critical workloads.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing an IAM strategy aligned with company goals, understanding business requirements and security risks, and designing scalable IAM solutions.
The engineer will lead the design, testing, and deployment of IAM infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and integrity of identity data across systems.
Collaboration with IT, HR, legal, and other departments is essential to address IAM needs and communicate updates, policies, and procedures.
The role requires leveraging Okta as the corporate Identity Provider (IDP) and building SSO integrations across systems and applications.
The engineer will develop and manage Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes, automate role management, and provide operational support for IAM systems.
Monitoring and auditing access to systems and data to ensure compliance with policies is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in information security, IT, software engineering, or system administration, with 3 to 5 years specifically in administering IAM systems and procedures.
Strong developer experience with APIs, scripting, and web services (bash, shell, Java, JavaScript, Python, REST, etc.) is necessary for implementing custom integrations and automation.
Deep knowledge of IAM protocols and technology such as SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, MFA, and PAM is required.
Experience in implementing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, including lifecycle management and access certifications, is essential.
Candidates should have experience implementing Zero Trust principles and a security-minded approach to developing system controls and processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to simplify complex systems.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
