Description:

Talentus is seeking a Senior Information Security Applications Engineer to join their team.
The position is fully remote and part of the Latam Talentus Team.
The role involves working closely with the Engineering team on secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities.
Responsibilities include managing and maturing the application security program, reviewing and designing security requirements, and interacting with sprint teams on security-related issues.
The engineer will participate in security operations, conduct vulnerability discovery, and collaborate with IT teams for remediation.
Additional duties include contributing to security-related project design and implementation, writing and updating security documentation, and responding to audit requests.

Requirements:

Candidates must have five years of experience in software development, engineering, or architecture.
A substantial professional background focused on security is required.
A deep understanding of web application architecture design, secure coding patterns, and related security concepts is essential.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are necessary for this role.
Candidates should have experience with threat modeling methodologies, ideally STRIDE.
The ability to integrate security principles into development processes is required.
Proficiency in several coding languages and the ability to learn new languages quickly is necessary.
Experience with relational database design and SQL query language is required.
Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics.

The position operates under a contractor model.
It offers a 100% remote work environment.
