Remote Senior Infrastructure Engineer (ML/AI)

Description:

• Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their ML/AI team in Barcelona, Spain.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience in hands-on engineering roles (DevOps/SRE) and a BS or MS in the CS field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with hosting AI models using tools such as ML flow, AWS Sagemaker, Azure AI, or Kubernetes is required.
• At least 1 year of experience with ML Ops, including ML flow and vector databases (qdrant), is necessary.
• Strong expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads, particularly using EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), is essential.
• Proficiency in Python is required, and knowledge of other programming languages such as Go, Ruby, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience in creating scalable development and integration pipelines using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, or GitLab CI is needed.
• Candidates should have expertise in deploying Kubernetes-based services using tools like Kustomize, Helm, or ArgoCD, following a GitOps approach.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS), is required.
• A strong understanding of networking fundamentals and web services architecture is necessary.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is essential.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience with containers, including creating and optimizing Dockerfiles and using docker-compose.
• Familiarity with software packaging tools, functional testing, security validation tools, and code coverage tools is required.
• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in compliance-regulated environments and understanding kernel-level container technologies is necessary.
• Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure security regulations and compliance programs, including SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA, is required.
• Good communication and collaboration skills in international technological companies are essential.
• Candidates must be ready to work remotely with teams distributed across the world and across different time zones.
• Proficiency in spoken English is necessary to participate in product-related, architectural, and technical discussions.
