Description:
Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their ML/AI team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The role involves deploying, scaling, and maintaining services within the ML/AI team.
The engineer will collaborate closely with ML Engineers and Data Scientists as part of a small, flexible team.
This position will have a direct impact on the modernization and maturation of the platform, including infrastructure architecture decisions.
The ML/AI team supports Generative AI solutions for automation and integration.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience in hands-on engineering roles (DevOps/SRE) and a BS or MS in the CS field (or equivalent experience).
A minimum of 1 year of experience with hosting AI models using tools like ML flow, AWS Sagemaker, Azure AI, or Kubernetes is required.
At least 1 year of experience with ML Ops, including ML flow, vector databases (qdrant), and dagster is necessary.
Strong expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads, specifically using EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) is essential.
Proficiency in Python is required, and knowledge of other programming languages such as Go, Ruby, or JavaScript is a plus.
Experience in creating scalable development and integration pipelines using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, or GitLab CI is needed.
Expertise in deploying Kubernetes-based services using tools like Kustomize, Helm, or ArgoCD, following a GitOps approach is required.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), is necessary.
A strong understanding of networking fundamentals and web services architecture is required.
Experience managing complex infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is essential.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with containers, including creating and optimizing Dockerfiles and a deep understanding of related technologies.
Familiarity with software packaging tools, functional testing, security validation tools, and code coverage tools is required.
Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in compliance-regulated environments and understanding kernel-level container technologies is necessary.
Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure security regulations and compliance programs, including SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA is required.
Good communication and collaboration skills in international technological companies are essential.
Candidates must be ready to work remotely with teams distributed across the world and timezones.
Good spoken English is necessary to participate in product-related, architectural, and technical discussions.
