Description:

  • Dune is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / SRE to join their remote team across the East Coast US and Europe.
  • The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure infrastructure meets performance, reliability, and scalability needs.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining robust infrastructure and scalable services, designing reliable containerized environments, and analyzing system performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • The position focuses on maintaining high system reliability and scalability while addressing unique technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have proven expertise in managing and optimizing bare-metal infrastructure and containerized environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools is required.
  • A strong understanding of system performance, debugging, and optimization across diverse environments is essential.
  • The ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly is necessary.
  • A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and system design is required.
  • Candidates should be able to work collaboratively in a remote setting, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Desired qualifications include 5+ years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer, experience with distributed systems, and hands-on experience with Nomad or Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform, scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash, and experience with monitoring and observability tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management and performance improvement strategies, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and experience working across multiple time zones are also desired.
