Remote Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer

Description:

• Develocity is a unique product used by software teams to enhance Bazel, Gradle, Maven, and sbt builds through data ingestion, processing, analysis, visualization, and caching systems.
• Seeking a Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage a secure, scalable Infrastructure Platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Ideal candidate passionate about infrastructure automation, improving developer productivity, and delivering core infrastructure for development teams.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with DevOps teams to establish 'golden paths' in Core Infrastructure domains, contributing to Gradle's Infrastructure Strategy, and ensuring cloud infrastructure security.
• Role involves working closely with the Security Department, software engineering, and infrastructure teams within Develocity and Gradle Build Tool departments.
• Minimum qualifications include 5 years of AWS infrastructure experience, expertise in AWS best practices, Terraform, networking, problem-solving skills, GitOps practices, Unix/Linux systems, and Kubernetes administration.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Atlantis for Terraform, providing infrastructure for multiple products, 'Infrastructure Platform Engineering,' and designing infrastructure for high-security SaaS applications.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience working on AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience securing and building on AWS using best practice architecture.
• Proficiency in Terraform and general networking, including AWS-specific concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate on complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices, Unix/Linux systems, and Kubernetes administration.
• Working proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools and practices.
• Ability to contribute to organizational changes and work effectively with peers.
