Remote Senior iOS Engineer

Description:

• Ground News is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to contribute to their mission of providing a platform for mindful news consumption.
• The Senior iOS Engineer will be responsible for driving core features of the iOS product, working within a cross-functional team.
• Responsibilities include designing, writing, maintaining, and debugging software for mobile applications, conducting experiments to enhance user interaction, collaborating with design and backend teams, and ensuring high technical quality through automated testing.
• The role involves monitoring app stability, addressing crashes, and becoming proficient with the Swift code base.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of experience in developing lightweight, fast-loading, and high-performing iOS apps.
• Proficiency in Swift, UI design, and working with RESTful APIs is required.
• Experience in creating native apps for various Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Safari Extension.
• Previous work on successful Consumer apps and familiarity with technologies like MapKit, Rich push notifications, Auto-layout, View animations/transitions, Siri shortcuts, Firebase, StoreKit, and IAP is necessary.
