Remote Senior iOS Engineer

Description:

• Oura is seeking Senior iOS Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their app development teams.
• The position is remote within the US, with a preference for candidates in the US-Pacific timezone, and offers hybrid or office settings in San Francisco and San Diego.
• The engineering organization consists of talented Android and iOS app developers who collaborate closely across locations.
• Engineers are organized into smaller cross-functional feature squads, taking full ownership of their code and handling everything from concepting to maintenance.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining high-quality code, collaborating with PMs and Designers, and working with other teams to deliver complex mobile app features.
• The role involves contributing to technical discussions, code reviews, and platform-level improvements.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps.
• Proficiency in Swift programming, UIKit, and modern iOS app architectures (MVVM, MVC, TCA, VIPER, etc.) is required.
• Experience with collaborative development on complex shared codebases and proficiency in git, branching, and standard code review workflows is necessary.
• A focus on quality through unit tests and manual testing is essential.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and design patterns are required.
• Candidates should have the ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results with limited guidance.
• Mentoring other engineers and increasing developer productivity across teams is expected.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum processes is preferred.
• Additional preferred qualifications include 7+ years of experience, previous tech lead roles, and familiarity with various technologies such as Swift structured concurrency, Combine, and health-related software development.
