Remote Senior IoT Engineer (Contract)

Description:

• Level, a company founded by ex-Apple Product and Engineering leaders, is redefining the smart community with intuitive and invisible technology.
• The Senior IoT Engineer will work on the Level Hub and platform to enhance the Level M solution for smart building automation.
• Responsibilities include programming in C++, Golang, and Python, ensuring reliability of Z-Wave and Zigbee solutions, diagnosing issues, and owning the full development lifecycle.
• The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams, automating testing, and reviewing pull requests daily.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of C++, Golang, or Python.
• Prior experience in IoT or smart home projects, specifically with Zigbee or Z-Wave.
• Senior Software Engineering experience with the ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
• Deep knowledge of computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
• Preference for simple yet fully functional and extensible solutions.
• Ability to iterate quickly without compromising quality.
