Description:
The Senior IT Automation & Security Engineer will work remotely in the United States, focusing on empowering companies to stay secure while moving fast.
The role involves building next-generation IT workflow automation tooling using Temporal and Go, running on Kubernetes.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the engineering team on Teleport Identity and Teleport Policy, building hardened security and automation for macOS endpoints, and writing IT automation using tools like Terraform and shell scripts.
The engineer will also handle traditional IT Helpdesk tasks, assisting internal customers with access, lockout, integrations, and configuration.
The position emphasizes a modern approach to solving IT problems, including networking, security, and system integrations, with a strong focus on code reviews and open design processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a willingness and ability to engage in traditional IT tasks, including setting up and debugging IT tools like Okta, Rippling, and Zendesk.
Programming experience in Go is required, with experience in Temporal considered a bonus.
Applicants should have Linux systems engineering experience and familiarity with Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and shell scripting is necessary.
IT security and administration experience is also required.
