Description:
ZigZag is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their team in a remote, dayshift position.
The role involves providing support and triage for all systems by troubleshooting problems, configuring hardware and software, implementing backup processes, and assessing systems for upgrades or replacement.
Responsibilities include setting up, deploying, and maintaining ICT systems such as PCs, mobile devices, Unified Endpoint Management consoles, IoT devices, and security programs.
The candidate will ensure the assets register is complete and up to date as per audit and internal requirements.
They will manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes with scripted automatic provisioning and de-provisioning of employee software, hardware, and access levels using third-party external IdP and Directory services like LDAP and Active Directory protocols.
Regular access reviews and IT asset auditing will be conducted.
The role requires maintaining accurate and detailed IT documentation and procedures.
The candidate will maintain email security configurations and evaluate email-based attack vectors utilizing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC protocols.
They will maintain TXT records on DNS Hosted Zones to ensure records remain current and relevant.
Participation in PCI-DSS and ISO27001 audit interviews is expected.
The candidate will deploy both scripted and non-scripted secure configurations to endpoints via Unified Endpoint Management Console.
They will design, create, and implement data protection and information security rules to prevent data egress from enterprise systems.
Investigating new technology for Zai and participating in projects as required is part of the role.
The candidate will work with the Senior Business Systems Manager to provide backup for any administrative work on Zai Business Systems.
Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals and enabling team members to complete tasks to meet SLAs for the internal IT team is essential.
Conducting training, shadowing new hires, and cross-training team members to maximize their potential is also required.
Educating team members to enhance their skillset and improve their capabilities, product knowledge, and process knowledge is a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3 years of equivalent industry experience is required.
Experience with MacOS, iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows 10+, Google Workspace, and associated Unified Endpoint Management software (e.g., JamfPro, MobileIron, Kandji, WorkspaceONE, JumpCloud) is essential.
Proficiency in Confluence, Jira, and Atlassian is required.
Experience with industry-leading AV software (e.g., BitDefender, CrowdStrike) is necessary.
Familiarity with shell command languages such as bash, PowerShell, and zsh is required.
Experience in Identity Access Management is necessary.
Excellent English communication skills are required to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within the organization, from C-Level to front-line staff.
