Description:

As a Senior Java Developer at Mediaocean, you will design and develop software features of our flagship microservice-based Media Management platform.
The tech stack includes modern technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, MongoDB, ReactJS, NodeJS, and GraphQL, all deployed using Docker and Kubernetes.
You will work in an agile environment that is collaborative and rewarding.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining elegant software solutions.
You will actively engage in code reviews and knowledge sharing to foster team growth.
Collaboration with Product on new features will be essential to produce the best solutions.
You will implement proofs of concept (POCs) to explore new innovative technologies.
Working with DBAs, DevOps, and Infra teams will be necessary to ensure production readiness.
You will work closely with other engineers to develop cross-team features.
Responding to disruptions of production systems to ensure client satisfaction will be part of your role.

Requirements:

You should have 4-7 years of software development experience.
A strong background in Java, Spring (Boot, MVC, Data JPA), Hibernate, microservice architecture, and relational databases is required.
A passion for technology and software engineering is essential.
You should be well-rounded and understand that success involves good work relationships and solving business problems.
The ability to grasp modern software principles, patterns, tools, and methodologies is necessary.
Flexibility in working with unfamiliar platforms, frameworks, and languages is expected.
A strong development toolbox including Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, DB clients, and Jenkins is required.
Understanding the complexities of concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems is important.
You should be an accountable and responsible teammate with good communication skills.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 a year.
