Description:

The Senior Java Developer will work remotely from Colombia and is expected to have extensive experience with Java (version 8 and above) in developing and maintaining Java applications and microservices on AWS.
The role involves implementing AWS solutions using EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
The developer will design and manage RESTful APIs following best practices and refactor monolithic components for AWS, addressing version upgrades for Java, JDBC, ADFS, and HTTP requests.
Strong experience with Microservices Architecture is required, along with ensuring system observability and monitoring using tools like Grafana and participating in DevOps practices.
The position also requires experience managing containerized applications with Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and reliability in cloud environments.
Responsibilities include performing code reviews, writing unit tests, and troubleshooting issues in Java applications and AWS services.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience with Java (version 8 and above) and microservices architecture.
Expertise in AWS services, particularly Lambda, EC2, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and RDS is essential.
Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration is required.
Experience in working with monolithic applications and implementing CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Proficiency in using Docker and Kubernetes to build secure, cloud-native applications is a must.
Preferred skills include AWS certifications (Developer or Solutions Architect), experience with Control-M, and Terraform or CloudFormation, as well as a strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
