MicroHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with a passion for creating robust, scalable software solutions.
The candidate should be proficient in cloud-native AWS environments and have experience with Healthcare EDI.
The role involves joining an existing team to build an exciting new platform and suite of products.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and services from the ground up while providing technical leadership.
The developer will offer engineering design solutions and collaborate with the team.
Participation in an agile development cycle that supports successful engineering goals is expected.
The candidate should be comfortable with code reviews and contribute to team best practices to ensure the delivery of production-quality code.
The role requires the ability to optimize application performance and scalability and some ability to mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.
The candidate must have 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong proficiency in Java 17 and core Java concepts is necessary.
Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) is required.
Familiarity with the Hibernate ORM framework is needed.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is essential.
The candidate must have experience with RESTful web services and API design.
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns is required.
Experience with Maven and Git is necessary.
The candidate must be comfortable working in an agile environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
