Remote Senior Java Developer (Remote, Canada)

Description:

• The Senior Java Developer position at NearForm is a remote permanent role for individuals based in Canada.
• The main responsibility of the Senior Developer is to design and build applications using Java Spring Boot for cloud-based solutions.
• Other responsibilities include supporting component design, development, and maintenance, defining structured practices in source code management, building, and deployment, as well as designing and implementing data storage solutions.
• The role also involves optimizing application performance, gathering feedback from users and clients to build solutions, analyzing client requirements, and collaborating with client teams.

Requirements:

• Exceptional communication skills in English are required to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of server-side code, with at least 5 years of experience working with Java language and Spring Boot, is necessary.
• Experience in developing high-quality software in an agile environment is essential.
• Proficiency in NoSQL Databases, particularly MongoDB, is required.
• Testing experience and familiarity with testing tools at all levels (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing) are necessary.
• A deep understanding of version control tools, especially GIT, is a must.
• Understanding of DevOps practices is also a requirement.
