Description:
The Senior Java Software Engineer will be a critical team member of the Application Chapter responsible for delivering innovative solutions within the smart mobility ecosystem, focusing on electric vehicles.
The role involves developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional and feature teams to understand project goals and provide input on the technical direction.
Support will be provided to Solution Architects with technical architectural decisions, bringing out-of-the-box thinking and best practices to the team.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within the development lifecycle will be part of the responsibilities.
The engineer will assist in establishing coding standards, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Providing technical guidance to team members will help foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Requirements:
A BSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience within the Java ecosystem, particularly with SpringBoot, is necessary.
Solid experience working with NoSQL databases, such as Mongo, is required.
Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs, with the ability to seamlessly integrate them with multiple third-party services, is essential.
Familiarity with geospatial data (e.g., Google Places) and/or EV Charging network interfaces (e.g., OCPI) will be considered a plus.
Fluency in English is a must, as the company operates in a multinational environment.
Active contribution as a team player to collaborative efforts is expected.
