Remote Senior Java Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Java Software Engineer will work in a small team to enhance the performance of a newly acquired product and integrate it with existing products.
• Responsibilities include stabilizing the current codebase, enabling new functionality, and managing performance to reduce scaling costs.
• The role involves being an internal expert on SOLR and Lucene, collaborating with the CTO and technical leadership team to create a strategic plan for the product codebase.
• Delivering upgrades, making fast code changes in a live environment, and the ability to plan, document, and rollback changes are essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience with SOLR, Lucene, and Zookeeper, particularly in performance analysis and diagnostics.
• Proficiency in Java codebases is required, along with knowledge of Postgres databases and experience in enhancing and upgrading existing codebases using SOLR to improve application performance.
• Familiarity with AWS is considered advantageous for this role.
