Description:

LivePerson is seeking a Senior JAVA Software Engineer for their Platform Foundation team, which is responsible for designing and implementing the core of the messaging ecosystem.
The team consists of 5 engineers located mainly in EMEA, including Bulgaria, Germany, and France.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment on projects that enhance and simplify customer engagement through messaging.
Responsibilities include building a platform for real-time monitoring, designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications, creating complex backend services using Java, developing technical specifications and documentation, and debugging production issues.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development engineering.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Proficiency in Java, Node.js, and backend development is necessary.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools is required.
Candidates should have experience in debugging/testing applications and building RESTful microservices.
Familiarity with basic DevOps tasks for deploying applications in development/test environments is expected.
Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
Knowledge of Kubernetes is preferred.
Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty is required, in alignment with the "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development is essential.
