Description:

Fullscript is seeking a Senior JavaScript Developer for a 12-month contract, with options for remote work in Ottawa, Toronto, or across Canada.
The role involves shaping the technical direction and architecture of the design system while collaborating with the Technical Lead, system designers, and the product team.
Responsibilities include planning and architecting React components, implementing high-quality components using JavaScript and React, and working within a small team of front-end developers and designers.
The developer will contribute to the technical health of the design system by adhering to best practices and participating in code reviews.
The position requires scoping and planning development work while balancing speed with technical quality.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven experience as a JavaScript or Front-End Developer, ideally at a senior level.
Expertise in modern JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar is required, with a focus on React + TypeScript.
A solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and accessibility best practices is essential.
Experience working with design systems and collaborating with product/design teams is necessary.
In-depth knowledge of UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility is required.
A passion for clean, maintainable code and performance optimization is expected.
