Remote Senior JavaScript Platform Engineer

Description:

• Attentive is seeking a Senior JavaScript Platform Engineer to design and ship a production-ready JavaScript SDK for data collection of ecommerce and user behavior events.
• The role involves developing a JavaScript library to collect user behaviors in browsers, including loader/bootstrap code, runtime APIs, and plugin architecture.
• Responsibilities include building consent-aware logic that adapts to various privacy regulations and utilizing emerging technologies like AI Agents for customized data collection.
• The engineer will collaborate with product and API teams to align SDK development with platform features and create developer-friendly documentation.
• The position is fully remote and part of a company recognized for its rapid growth and commitment to customer success.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience building JavaScript libraries or tag managers that are consumed by external sites.
• A deep understanding of browser privacy technologies such as ITP, ETP, Privacy Sandbox, and partitioned cookies is required.
• Strong performance optimization skills, including experience with async loaders, Web Workers, and tree-shaking, are essential.
• Exposure to edge runtimes like Cloudflare Workers, Fastly, or AWS Lambda, as well as Node experience, is preferred.
• A proven track record of shipping telemetry or feature-flag systems that can instantly change behavior is necessary.
