Description:

We are looking for a senior front-end developer with proven experience delivering a sizeable React application to production.
You will help modernise and evolve legacy code and also build new user-facing web features.
Good knowledge of JavaScript and React is essential.
Experience in improving and maintaining performance is a bonus due to our millions of users across mobile offerings.
We use Relay to manage data from our GraphQL API, so experience with that or similar technologies like Apollo is fantastic.
We test heavily and enforce type-safety on the frontend, so experience with Jest and JavaScript type systems is beneficial.

Our tech stack includes React/React Native, StyledComponents, Relay, FlowType, Python (Django), GraphQL, Github, and CI systems.
We value techniques such as linting, automatic code formatting, unit tests, coverage reporting, snapshot testing, integration tests, and type systems.
We have a remote-first work culture, with an office in Brick Lane available for use.

Requirements:

You must have 10+ years of engineering experience, well-versed in Modern JavaScript, and up to date with modern technologies and techniques.
Experience with a large production React application is required.
You should have experience with GraphQL and ideally with Apollo or Relay.
Familiarity with technologies such as React, Git, and Continuous Integration is necessary.
You must be able to clearly articulate ideas, be curious, proactively communicate, and influence others to achieve common goals.
A creative problem solver capable of managing multiple tasks and working independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
You should collaborate well in a team environment.
It is a plus if you are an active Mixcloud user and have experience with StyledComponents and Continuous Deployment.
Familiarity with Python, Django, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Puppet, Nginx, GlusterFS, Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, and Github + CI systems is also beneficial.
This is a UK-based role, and we can only consider applicants who currently reside or have work authorization in the UK.
