As a Senior Developer at Awesome Motive, you will develop, maintain, and scale B2B SaaS applications and their associated WordPress plugins.
You will architect and implement high-performance solutions, lead development initiatives, and create innovative features impacting millions of users worldwide.
Your role will involve driving technical excellence across a diverse platform leveraging modern Laravel (PHP 8+) and WordPress plugins within a containerized Docker environment.
You will ensure scalability, security, and an exceptional user experience across interconnected components.
Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable Laravel applications, WordPress plugins, and backend services.
You will lead the design and development of new features for the core SaaS application and its companion WordPress plugin.
You will write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly testable code, adhering to established coding standards.
You will contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the SaaS platform, optimize database queries, and manage API integrations.
You will implement robust security measures, integrate AI technologies, and design RESTful APIs.
You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Requirements:

You must have 8+ years of professional experience in web application development, focusing on PHP/Laravel and WordPress plugin development.
You should possess expert proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework's ecosystem, including experience with older PHP versions and frameworks like CodeIgniter.
Significant experience in WordPress plugin development, including hooks, REST API integration, and a deep understanding of the WordPress core is required.
Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js, is essential.
You should have experience building and scaling applications that handle high volumes of data and traffic.
Expertise in database design, optimization, and query performance tuning is necessary.
A solid understanding of core frontend technologies, experience with queue systems, and proficiency in writing comprehensive tests is required.
Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud services is important.
You should have experience implementing AI tools and a solid understanding of security best practices.
Proficiency with version control through Git and exceptional troubleshooting skills are required.
Previous remote work experience and the ability to participate in meetings during U.S. business hours are necessary.
