Description:
A2 Hosting is seeking a Senior Linux System Engineer to join their team.
The Senior System Engineer will lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and execution of global system deployments across multiple datacenters.
This position focuses on end-to-end solutions for diverse projects across the organization.
The role is fully remote and follows a Monday - Friday schedule from 12 AM to 8 AM EST.
Essential duties include leading global deployments, building automation tools using Python or Bash, collaborating with project management teams, writing documentation, driving continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring team members, participating in on-call rotations, and staying updated on technology trends.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of professional level Linux (CentOS/RHEL) engineering experience.
Automation and scripting skills in Bash and Python are preferred.
Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Linux file-systems is required.
Experience with central authentication systems such as LDAP or FreeIPA is necessary.
Candidates should be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to meet deliverable objectives with minimal supervision is essential.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are required to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, customers, and leadership.
