Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a passionate Machine Learning Engineer to develop robust solutions to real-world, large scale problems that have a direct impact on the business.
• The candidate should have demonstrable experience in ML Engineering and working in a product model using Scrum.
• As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be expected to own projects end-to-end, from conception to operationalization, demonstrating an understanding of the full ML model lifecycle.
• The role involves working with the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) team for a global retail company, collaborating with teammates in Portland, Boston, China, and Poland.
• You will design and implement scalable applications that leverage predictive models and optimization programs to deliver data-driven decisions that result in significant business impact.
• Additionally, you will contribute to core advanced analytics and machine learning platforms and tools to enable both prediction and optimization model development.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• The ability to write robust, maintainable, and extendable code in Python is required.
• Experience with SQL and Spark is necessary.
• Knowledge of applied data science methods and machine learning algorithms is essential.
• Data wrangling experience with structured and unstructured data is required.
• Experience with cloud architecture and technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and MLOps concepts, would be an asset.
• Familiarity with SageMaker, Kubeflow, or Tensorflow Extended is preferred.
• A background in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is necessary.
• Candidates should be familiar with principles of solution architecture and technical design.
• Effective communication skills with team members, the business, and in code are required.
