Description:

Perceptyx is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join their remote team.
The role involves collaborating with a skilled group of engineers and data scientists to enhance ML models and drive AI-powered innovation.
Responsibilities include developing, fine-tuning, and deploying NLP models for sentiment analysis and text classification, as well as building scalable ML pipelines using AWS.
The engineer will prototype and document models using JupyterHub/Notebooks, apply MLOps best practices, and manage containerized ML models using Docker and Kubernetes.
The position requires collaboration with data engineers, software engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions and contribute to Agile development.
The engineer will maintain technical documentation, share expertise through client consultations and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and expand professional knowledge by attending industry events.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning and NLP, focusing on production-grade systems.
A BA/BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field is required; MA/MS/PhD is preferred.
Strong technical skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) and hands-on experience with LLMs are essential.
Proficiency in SQL for large-scale datasets and expertise in AWS for scalable ML training and deployment are required.
Candidates should have strong MLOps knowledge, experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with distributed computing frameworks.
Soft skills include honesty, integrity, an autonomous mindset, solid communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
