Description:
Perceptyx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (ML) with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join their remote team.
The role involves collaborating with engineers and data scientists to enhance ML models and drive AI-powered innovation.
Responsibilities include developing, fine-tuning, and deploying NLP models for various applications, training and optimizing pre-trained language models, and building scalable ML pipelines using AWS.
The engineer will prototype and document models, apply MLOps best practices, and deploy containerized ML models using Docker and Kubernetes.
The position requires collaboration with data engineers, software engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions and stay updated on advancements in NLP and deep learning.
Participation in Agile development and maintaining clear technical documentation is expected.
The engineer will also share expertise through client consultations and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and expand professional knowledge by attending industry events.
Requirements:
A BA/BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field is required; MA/MS/PhD is preferred.
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning/NLP, focusing on production-grade systems.
Strong technical skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) are essential.
Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and deploying LLMs, proficiency in SQL for large datasets, and expertise in AWS for scalable ML training and deployment are required.
Familiarity with JupyterHub/Notebooks, strong MLOps knowledge, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes are necessary.
Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks and ML tracking tools is also required.
Candidates should possess an autonomous, action-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
