Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• Perceptyx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (ML) with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join their remote team.
• The role involves collaborating with engineers and data scientists to enhance ML models and drive AI-powered innovation.
• Responsibilities include developing, fine-tuning, and deploying NLP models for various applications, training and optimizing pre-trained language models, and building scalable ML pipelines using AWS.
• The engineer will prototype and document models, apply MLOps best practices, and deploy containerized ML models using Docker and Kubernetes.
• The position requires collaboration with data engineers, software engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions and stay updated on advancements in NLP and deep learning.
• Participation in Agile development and maintaining clear technical documentation is expected.
• The engineer will also share expertise through client consultations and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and expand professional knowledge by attending industry events.

Requirements:

• A BA/BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field is required; MA/MS/PhD is preferred.
• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning/NLP, focusing on production-grade systems.
• Strong technical skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) are essential.
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and deploying LLMs, proficiency in SQL for large datasets, and expertise in AWS for scalable ML training and deployment are required.
• Familiarity with JupyterHub/Notebooks, strong MLOps knowledge, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes are necessary.
• Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks and ML tracking tools is also required.
• Candidates should possess an autonomous, action-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
