Description:

  • The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be part of the Underwriting & Credit organization at Cash App, focusing on developing credit risk management systems for various payment products.
  • Responsibilities include designing, building, and managing distributed services and pipelines for Underwriting & Credit.
  • The role involves leading multi-person projects, ensuring high code quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creatively solving technical problems at scale.
  • The engineer will work closely with ML Modelers and Decision Scientists to integrate and productize credit risk models.
  • The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of development capabilities through mentoring and supporting fellow engineers.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend software development experience in languages like Java, Python, Kotlin, Ruby, Go, Swift, C++.
  • Enthusiasm for solving business problems with technology and taking ownership of end-to-end solutions.
  • Passion for continuous learning of new technologies, frameworks, and services.
  • Ability to deliver with globally distributed cross-functional teams and prioritize testing with automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with ML models and common technologies like Kafka, Redis, Cassandra is a bonus.
  • Keen interest in advancing Cash App's vision of building for economic empowerment.
