Description:
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be part of the Financial Crimes Technology team at Cash App, responsible for detecting and reporting illegal and suspicious activity.
The role involves using Machine Learning and Generative AI to monitor transactions, detect suspicious activity, and improve agent workflow tools.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and enhancing batch and real-time inference services, unblocking access to necessary tools for modelers, and developing prototypes to encourage adoption of new technologies.
The position reports to the Data Science and ML Modeling Manager and involves driving strategic roadmaps and priorities by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements:
4+ years of combined Machine Learning and Engineering industry experience with full stack ML experience.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, operations research, applied math, stats, physics, or related technical field.
Familiarity with Linux/OS X command line, version control software (git), and software development principles with a machine learning software development life-cycle orientation.
Experience working with product, business, and engineering to prioritize, scope, design, and deploy ML models.
Familiarity with Python computing stack, MySQL, Snowflake, Airflow, Java/Go.
Experience in hosting models for inference on public clouds like GCP, AWS, and/or building micro-services for event-based triggering, feature generation, model inference, and downstream actioning.
