Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Identity - ML Platform

Description:

• As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Identity team at Cash App, you will be instrumental in utilizing machine learning techniques to combat fraudulent identities within the Cash ecosystem.
• The primary focus is on strengthening the initial defense against malicious actors trying to circumvent Identity Verification controls while enhancing confidence in the authenticity of both new and existing customers.
• The role involves leveraging machine learning to ensure equal access to financial services for all individuals, regardless of their background or financial history.
• Specifically, you will work on developing risk-based experiences to increase access for legitimate customers, guiding them towards accounts that support their personal or business growth while mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Modelers, and Software Engineers to build next-generation ML solutions and explore innovative directions to enhance performance and services.
• Design and implement ML pipelines and services, prototype new approaches, and scale solutions for over 47 million active users.
• Create a top-tier platform for training, hosting, and maintaining ML models, applying best practices to shape Cash App's ML-platform development, testing, and maintenance.
• Contribute to shaping and executing the long-term Machine Learning strategy across Cash App.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience with demonstrated leadership on previous machine learning projects.
• Passion for Cash App's mission of economic empowerment and curiosity to contribute to it.
• Ability to mentor teammates, provide constructive feedback, and work autonomously in the evolving field of ML.
• Desire to be hands-on and contribute to shaping the future of AI.
• Experience or knowledge in ML is beneficial but not mandatory; solid software engineering skills are valued, and training in ML will be provided.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Kotlin, Tensorflow, PyTorch, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, DynamoDB, Kafka, Apache Beam, and Google DataFlow.
