Description:

Octopus by RTG is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team, focusing on AI solutions for a partner organization based in California.
The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize machine learning investments, as well as implementing and integrating models into various deployment environments.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems that operate securely, reliably, and efficiently at scale.
The engineer will champion best practices and processes to deliver timely, high-quality solutions for clients.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in machine learning development, with a proven track record in scaling production systems.
A deep understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) is essential.
Extensive expertise in Python and machine learning libraries and frameworks is required.
Experience in acquiring and validating human-labeled data effectively is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in building machine learning pipelines for labeling, sampling, training, evaluation, serving, and monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are required.
Strong communication skills, particularly in writing, and team collaboration skills are essential.
