Description:

Quora is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the team working on Poe, a platform that offers users a space to chat, explore, and build with various AI language models.
The role involves developing the bot ecosystem using cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, creating a scalable recommender system architecture, and building NLP applications in collaboration with the product team.
Responsibilities include working on search result retrieval, recommender systems, and multi-bot agents to enhance user experiences, participating in NLP activities, and staying updated on the latest NLP and large language model developments.
The position requires end-to-end ownership of machine learning systems, from data pipelines to model integration into production systems.

Requirements:

Availability during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time) is essential.
Professional experience in software development and machine learning is required.
Demonstrated track record of leading NLP/Search models for industry-scale problems.
Proficiency in Python or C++ with at least 4 years of coding experience.
Previous experience in leading complex end-to-end machine learning systems and large-scale projects.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (BS, MS, or PhD) is necessary.
