Description:

  • Atomi is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join their AI/ML team, focusing on improving student outcomes and empowering teachers with AI features.
  • The role involves leading efforts to optimize the AI marking system, expanding its capabilities for complex assessments while ensuring performance.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying new machine learning/NLP solutions for personalized feedback.
  • The engineer will maintain and improve ML infrastructure and platforms for scalable and reliable model deployment.
  • The position requires refining sophisticated data strategies, including active learning pipelines to enhance machine learning effectiveness.
  • The engineer will leverage existing monitoring systems to identify opportunities for performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
  • Best DevOps/SRE practices will be championed to ensure AI solutions are reliable, resilient, and cost-effective.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, software engineers, domain experts, and product managers is essential to integrate AI solutions and identify business opportunities.
  • Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in AI and machine learning, particularly in educational technology, is crucial for driving innovation.

Requirements:

  • A strong foundation in machine learning, NLP, and testing principles, with experience in building, fine-tuning, and deploying deep learning models on the cloud is required.
  • Proven experience with data processing, storage solutions, and implementing scalable data pipelines is necessary.
  • Strong expertise in designing ML systems and a good understanding of SRE practices is essential.
  • Experience in building and maintaining ML infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in production environments, along with a strong understanding of DevOps fundamentals, is required.
  • Proficiency in Python coding and hands-on experience with MLOps tools (e.g., PyTorch, FAISS, Amazon SageMaker) and cloud services (e.g., AWS) is necessary.
  • The ability to tackle complex problems related to language processing and applying AI in real-world settings is essential.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an evolving scale-up environment is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders across the business are necessary.
