Launch Potato is a digital media company focused on connecting advertisers to customers throughout the consumer journey.
The Senior Machine Learning Researcher role is primarily centered on building machine learning models and is not an engineering or data engineering position.
The base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $160,000 per year, paid bi-monthly.
Candidates must have experience in the performance marketing or lead generation industries, specifically in designing, implementing, optimizing, and testing end-to-end Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) and recommendation systems.
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a data science position is required.
The role involves developing deep personalization models and complex optimization algorithms to enhance customer experiences and drive revenue.
The researcher will play a key role in the growth of the data science team and will be involved in integrating machine learning solutions across the company's products.
Responsibilities include strategically planning machine learning initiatives, analyzing potential impacts, and prioritizing projects in collaboration with various teams.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of related work experience in Data Science and Machine Learning is required.
At least 2 years of experience in the Marketing or Advertising industry is necessary.
A solid background in Machine Learning and Statistics is essential.
Professional experience in designing and implementing Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) solutions and recommendation systems is required.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience using data science tools such as git, Kubernetes, and Docker, is necessary.
Candidates should be able to structure and clarify ambiguity for the team, dividing complex projects into sprints and coordinating implementation across multiple teams.
Experience creating machine learning solutions within cloud services (AWS/GCP) is required.
Familiarity with the ML model development lifecycle and data visualization tools (preferably Looker) is necessary.
Experience managing a team of data scientists and machine learning researchers, including career development, is preferred.
Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits.
Future salary increases will be based on company and personal performance rather than annual cost of living adjustments.
