Remote Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Description:

• The Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Red Canary will lead a team of engineers to deliver threat detection and response solutions by processing billions of events daily.
• Responsibilities include supporting team growth, fostering a high-quality platform, collaborating with stakeholders, tracking team performance, and participating in architecture and design reviews.
• The role involves managing vendor relationships, driving department-level initiatives, and taking ownership of code quality and best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of direct engineering team management experience.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation within the Engineering department.
• Proven collaboration with product managers and other engineering teams in agile environments.
• Proficiency in Ruby and related libraries like RSpec and Sidekiq.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, complex systems, and infrastructure as code.
