The Senior Manager, Software Engineering position at Flywire involves managing engineering teams to build and maintain the platform supporting the payment engine.
The role is based in Spain but allows remote work from anywhere in the country.
Responsibilities include overseeing teams, designing new functionalities, improving current capabilities, and ensuring high-quality code within defined timeframes.
The position involves collaborating with various teams, setting priorities, reviewing code, and driving change and improvement in the development lifecycle.
The Senior Manager will also participate in the recruitment process, work on scalability and performance, contribute to the product vision, and demonstrate strong project management skills.

15 years of experience in application development and 5 years of managing engineering teams are required.
Experience in designing, developing, and supporting scalable, performant, and reliable services and distributed systems is necessary.
A product-oriented mindset, familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure, and understanding of relational databases are essential.
Strong object-oriented fundamentals, fluency in English, and the ability to deliver high-quality code quickly are prerequisites.
Experience in FinTech or the payment industry is appreciated, along with outstanding communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
