Remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position at MANSCAPED® involves collaborating with designers and manufacturers to conceptualize and bring product designs to life.
• The role requires producing 3D concepts for new products that go beyond industry standards and leading the design of plastic and metal components for optimal performance and manufacturability.
• The engineer must apply a deep understanding of materials to enhance product quality and durability, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and aesthetic surface build quality throughout the product development process.
• Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement is essential.
• Effective task prioritization and deadline management to meet project milestones are key responsibilities of the position.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering are required.
• Experience working within a Design Department or with a Design Agency is necessary.
• The candidate must provide a portfolio showcasing experience working with consumer goods and leading the mechanical implementation of industrial design.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or equivalent platforms, is a must.
• Strong knowledge of product production processes, material properties, manufacturing processes, and design principles is essential.
• The ability to identify and fill gaps in detailed surfacing quality and demonstrated leadership skills in successfully leading design projects from concept through production are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and self-motivation are necessary for this role.
• Up to 20% travel is expected for this position.
