Description:

The Senior ML Engineer position at Raya involves building machine learning and AI products to enhance personalized recommendations for users.
The role requires collaborating with Product and Analytics teams to understand products and design effective solutions.
Working with Backend and Data Engineers to develop the ML platform for scalability, efficiency, and system robustness.
Utilizing practical experience to determine when heuristics are more effective than full-scale ML/AI solutions.
Contributing to Raya's continuous learning culture by staying updated on industry trends and sharing knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

5+ years of machine learning experience with a track record of shipping successful products, preferably with experience in recommendation systems.
Proficiency in Python and SQL with the ability to write clean, well-documented code.
Experience with high-scale software applications, distributed data, Spark, Kubernetes, and rigorous testing/QA.
Familiarity with various ML frameworks/libraries like PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as AWS and GCP, especially in ML, data, and compute services.
Understanding of modern ML tooling and operations like ML platforms (SageMaker, Databricks), MLOps tools (MLFlow, Kubeflow, W&B), and feature stores (Tecton, Feast).
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and comprehend complex products.
