Description:
Serve Robotics is seeking a Senior ML Engineer specializing in Robotics and Computer Vision to join their Perception & Prediction team.
The role involves developing dependable sidewalk autonomy perception and prediction software.
Key responsibilities include building foundational models for vision language and action, with a strong understanding of transformer-based ML architecture.
The engineer will design, train, and deploy learning-based perception models for on-robot perception systems, focusing on multi-modal learning for tasks such as segmentation, object detection, scene understanding, and tracking.
Collaboration with ML infrastructure engineers is essential to assess and monitor model performance and resolve performance bottlenecks.
The engineer will work with various teams to understand real-world problems and define tasks, integrating insights into ML products.
High-quality code production and participation in code reviews are expected, along with sharing knowledge within the team.
Comfort with SQL queries and ETL logic for data ingress is required.
Requirements:
A Master's or PhD in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience focused on ML/DL, Robotics, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
At least 2 years of industry experience in training and deploying ML models into production and managing their lifecycle maintenance is necessary.
A deep understanding of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning basic concepts is essential.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for efficient and robust code development are required.
Experience with multiple sensors such as Lidar, Mono/Stereo cameras, and IMU is necessary.
Strong communication skills are a must.
