Remote Senior ML Engineer, Search & Recommendation Relevance

Description:

• The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will work on building and iterating on Guides, an AI-driven search product at Reddit.
• They will be responsible for integrating Guides into the existing Search Recommendation system to enhance user experience.
• The role involves designing and building pipelines and algorithms to facilitate users in finding relevant information on Reddit.
• Collaboration with product managers, data scientists, ML modelers, and platform engineers is essential to build a state-of-the-art search recommender system.
• The position offers involvement in technical and product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for one of the largest sites on the internet.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience as a machine learning engineer or software engineer developing backend/infrastructure at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC for building production-quality code and APIs.
• Experience with search and recommender systems and pipelines, along with a deep understanding of industry-scale recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with large-scale data stack technologies like Kubeflow, Airflow, BigQuery, GraphQL, Kafka, and Redis.
• Experience in developing machine learning models using PyTorch or Tensorflow is a plus.
