Description:

  • Scalable Capital is expanding its Data Department with multiple new ML Engineering roles in its growing Data Science team.
  • The role can focus on either the infrastructure side (MLOps) or bridge the gap between software development and Machine Learning.
  • Responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining (Gen) AI / ML technologies for internal and potential client-serving services.
  • The candidate will drive the development of architectures for deploying and maintaining scalable ML/(Gen) AI solutions.
  • Building infrastructure components, CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining existing ML services on AWS is required.
  • The role involves evaluating retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies while focusing on pragmatic solutions.
  • Implementing automated testing and monitoring techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of AI systems is essential.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems into business processes is expected.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry developments and technologies to keep solutions innovative is crucial.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • A generalist mindset to continuously learn and switch between different technical domains like Backend, Frontend, and AI/ML Infrastructure is necessary.
  • Extensive experience in AI/ML technologies and software development, particularly in Python, is essential.
  • Experience in building frontends, especially with Next.js, is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in dockerization and cloud platforms, preferably AWS (ECS, Lambdas, API Gateway), and related ML/GenAI services such as AWS Bedrock and Sagemaker is required.
  • Familiarity with building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control practices is necessary.
  • Confidence in working with modern machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Transformers, Langchain, and LlamaIndex is essential.
  • A strong understanding of chains, routing, agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector databases for managing structured and unstructured data sources is required.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and understanding the lifecycle of ML model development and deployment is necessary.
  • Ideally, hands-on experience with model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, optimization, and risk mitigation in production environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., terraform) is required.
  • An interest in financial services and markets is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality, are essential.
