Description:
Beacon Biosignals is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Engineer to develop mobile companion apps for wearable biosensors.
These apps are crucial for enabling scalable brain health monitoring and accelerating precision medicine for individuals with neurological and psychiatric conditions.
The company offers a robust remote work experience, with in-person office hubs located in Boston and New York.
Candidates from anywhere in the US Eastern time zone will be considered for this position.
The role involves partnering with the Hardware team, Platform teams, and Product to create user-centric mobile app capabilities integrated with Beacon’s product ecosystem.
The engineer will leverage user feedback from various clinical trial environments to optimize the user experience.
The goal is to build a well-designed product that enhances brain health monitoring capabilities in terms of accessibility, longitudinality, and robustness.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 8 years of mobile app development experience.
Real-world experience in developing cross-platform applications using TypeScript and React Native is required, along with writing native code for iOS and/or Android.
Experience in integrating BLE peripheral devices with both iOS and Android applications is necessary.
Applicants should have built and maintained mobile applications supported by GraphQL APIs and data streaming services.
Familiarity with the intersection of backend and frontend data lifecycles and its impact on end users is essential.
Experience in developing mobile applications that perform well under poor network conditions is required.
Candidates should understand what constitutes a well-designed mobile application, including first-class CI/CD/tools, and recognize the friction that poorly designed tools can introduce into the development cycle.
